| Button Box Mosaic | ||
|
YOU'LL NEED Cardboard box with lid, buttons, glue, and a pencil |
|
| INSTRUCTIONS | ||
| Tip | The background of the box will show between the buttons so you may want to paint your box. If you do, wait for the paint to completely dry before glueing. | |
| 1. | Use a pencil to trace a line where the lid overlays the body of box. Do not apply buttons above this line on your box. This will ensure that the lid will fit on the box when you are finished. | |
| 2. | Lay the box so that the side you will be working on is facing up. This will prevent the glue and buttons from sliding while you're working. | |
| 3. | Apply glue to the entire surface below the line drawn in step 1. | |
| 4. | Work out from the center one button at a time, placing them close together. Make sure to cover the entire side varying both size and color of buttons to create a more interesting design. | |
| 5. | Allow the glue to dry before moving on to the next side. Follow the same steps for all four sides of the box then repeat steps 2 through 5 for the lid. | |
