Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I heard you are closing. Is this true?
A: Yes. Please visit this page for more information.

Q: I heard you are selling from your Reuse Mobile. Is this true?
A: Yes! Since we closed our store we opened our "store on wheels" in the parking lot of our former location at 2111D Lakeland Avenue in Ronkonkoma. You can download and print out directions here.

Q: I have a nonprofit organization. Do I have to be a member to shop?
A: No. MRC's Reuse Mobile is open to the public and everything is sold by the pound with 25% off for purchases of $50 and over.

Q: How can my school pay for its purchases?
A: We accept school purchase orders.

Q: Can residents donate materials?
A: Materials Resource Center does not accept household contents unless the donation is appropriate for schools, arts and crafts. We generally accept donations from businesses because they supply a large quantity of uniform or similar types of materials. We do not accept fluid materials.

Q: How can I access a copy of your 990 tax returns?
A: You can view our tax returns by visiting GuidesStar's Website and searching for "Association for Resource Conservation". (You must register with their website to access these files).

Q: Are there other places like yours?
A:Yes! Check out our new Links Page to find out about other great non-profit enviromental centers!
