Reduce the quantities of waste your household generates while helping out a member of your community. 

Unwanted furniture can be sold on Craigslist or given away through Freecycle; leftover building materials can be donated to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore; and many other local organizations will take books, clothes, and other items.  Make the trash can your last resort!
